How to get production jobs – talk – #PBCjobs

We got to be part of the action as our custom web development work (Job board for ProducersGuild.org) was previewed #pbcjobs. a couple of hundred people saw the new job board and were happy to see that their membership was bringing more benefits to the table.

a chat with Mark Cuban – #PBCDisruption

Mark was right on about every question he answered. very focused, down to earth and accessible. His talk was inspiring and reaffirming a couple of things I follow (try to follow).

  • Ideas come from Learning.
    • without learning each day, you can brainstorm all you like, nothing new will come out of it.
  • You just need that one time to succeed.
    • the technology today allows to you fail multiple times without severe repercussions. You need to succeed once to make up for all the times you failed.
  •  Look where no one else is looking.
    • It’s easy to fall into the trap of following where everyone else if going. You first need to learn what everyone else knows. After that, you need to create your own findings and paths from those learnings.

That was a fun filled weekend. would do it again – next year!

If you are not part of the Producer’s Guild of America, I highly recommend it if you are looking for benefits such as Jobs search, industry news and more.
